- Holds an Honours Degree in Building Surveying and Project Management from John Moores University, Liverpool, UK.

- 1999-2002: State Manager at Napier & Blakeley Consulting, focusing on building consultancy and project management.
- 1994-1997: Associate Director at Colliers CRE in the Building Surveying and Project Management Division in London.
- 1992-1994: Senior Surveyor at HSB Partnership, specializing in building surveying and project management in London.
- 1991-1992: Engineering and Projects Manager at Ultraframe PLC in the UK.
- 1989-1990: Building Surveyor at Harrison Partnership in Liverpool, UK.
- 1986-1987: Architectural Technician at McHugh Stoppard in Liverpool, UK.
